    Primetime TV


    I was watching a TV soap by my lonesome last night when my folks decided to join me and watch as well. And as soon as they settled on the couch, I thought, prepare....brace yourself for a night of fun and amusement.

    Well, watching TV with them automatically translates to....

    • having to re-tell the story on some episodes they've missed DURING the show that I end up more like a story teller than a viewer.
    • they would suddenly digress and engage in small talks during the most crucial part of the show. So I end up "missing" the current episode  because their conversational voices drown the TV set's maximum volume.
    • while watching the show, they would frequently ask me, like 2 or 3 times about what's been said or what happened - again during the most crucial part. As if I have the power to rewind the whole program and let them watch it again. Now I thank God for re-runs.
    • and the best part is....falling asleep. In between soaps, they'd doze off, then wake up again....sleep...then wake up....getting a little disoriented that they hardly recognize that the previous show already ended and it's a new one they're watching.    

    Oh well....I must say that the family that "watches tv" together, stays together. Hahaha. Watching TV with my folks is like watching two shows at the same time. One on the tube, and one in real life.

    that's so true. and i miss that. before, we used to gather in the sala especially every during weekends. mom would bake a cake or cookies and watch shows together. who can ever forget, german moreno's gma supershow? :) tapos marathon na with lovingly yours helen.

    ahaha@ysabella. nanonood ako dati nun nung maaga pa eh. kasi mga 8 or 9 room na ako kaya di na ako nakakapanood.. ate.. nalalagas na magandang palabas sa 2 :( :( huhu!
    tv patrol nalang napapanood ko pag gabi :(

    Hay Maria ako talagang nilalakasan ko ang volume, kaso talagang malakas ang boses nila...haha.

    Heiven, kapamilya ako kaya minsan pinapanuod ko ang Ysabella - jologs! haha

    Gel - madalas sa room ko ako nanunuod, pero minsan pag feel ko sa living room para 2 ang entertainment...hehehe!

    Ako ayaw ko kasama ang nanay ko manood ng TV. Ang likot kasi saka mas malakas pa yung boses sa volume ng TV.

    Kaya lagi ako nagkukulong dito sa kwarto, yun ang tanging solusyon!

    marimar lang pinapanood ko eh... tatawagin lang nila ko sa kwarto pag tapos na yung zaido! haha!

    hahaha. dito naman pag balita, di ko marinig sinasabi sa tv kapag nagusap na nanay at kapatid ko. minsan pasimple pa ako lalakasan ko ung tv, hahahaha!
